The Not so Grandeur Arrival of the Prince

Description

Prince Thrylli wasn't too pleased with the way his things had been transported… then again, he wasn’t too pleased to be transported at all. He hadn’t ever planned on visiting this run-down and rather pathetic little planet. It was just holding itself together through the desperate attempts of unlicensed scientists and doctors, all scrambling to make sense of the ancient shell. Thrylli wasn’t sure whether he should be impressed with their resilience, or mock their insanity. The only reason he was here was because it was close enough to his home world to be easily found, but far enough so that he wouldn’t be accused of breaching his own punishment. Slikl’ass had enough ammunition against him, he didn’t need to provide anymore.

The prince argued a moment with the transport pilot, a poor being with poor hygiene, and even poorer manners, who was demanding extra pay. ‘I wasn’t told you were a prince,’ he said. Thrylli wanted to strike him for his impertinence, but he didn’t. Instead, he reminded him of his younger brother’s presence to the negotiation of his transport, and what his younger brother would do to him if he heard a negative report from him.

The being relented and set him free, receiving only the agreed upon fee without complaint.

Thrylli stepped down from the gangplank and tensed up, his instincts sending him a thousand warnings. Usually, the warnings were minor and only pointed out a few minor threats, but here… here he was overrun with threats, from either ships, from beings passing by, or from the very walls he walked near. Everything was dangerous. Nothing seemed to be secure.

He looked out over the hangar and stared at a few of the ships. Many of them were old and battered, but offered no less a threat, others seemed to be newer and meant for a large crew, but there was no mass of people surrounding it and making adjustments.

Thrylli frowned and walked past them, judging which he should particularly be wary of.

One thing was clear to the prince, he was no longer in a position of power. Whilst here, he’d have to form relationships with others to properly gain any sort of security. But for now, he’d better purchase a home in the colony for now… he could only hope the exile would be short-lived.

Well! I'm pretty happy with how this thing turned out! (First panel is my favorite!)
I decided to go somewhere different than a few other entry pieces have gone, as much as I love drawing space and all, I figured another scene looking out a window would just be kind of boring. So, I went with a hangar scene! Science fiction technology and vehicles are always a favorite of mine, so i decided to feature :iconrecklessjack:'s and :iconbolthound:'s ship designs! They're both really awesome designs, but i had no idea how big the two of them are, so.... hopefully this scale is at least close-ish????? Sorry if i butchered them!!

Doubly sorry for Thrylli. Hopefully he stops being such an ass in the future.

eeey!! this looks awesome!! Really cool arrival and really interesting character, look forward to seeing more of Thrylli's adventures within Ondyr. :D
(As for scale of the Alia, i think that's the right size. Shes like.. the size of the millennial falcon from Star wars. maybe teeny bit little bigger, but shes an adaptable ship and size can change from time to time lol)
